RELEASE New License Plates Honor PA Veterans Recognizes service in five branches of military Drexel Hill -- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PENNDOT) is now offering special vehicle license plates honoring veterans of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, according to Senator Ted Erickson (R-26). The new plates feature a branch of service emblem or logo on the left side of the plate. The plate also bears the word "Pennsylvania" across the top and the name of the branch of service at the bottom. Honorably discharged veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible to obtain one of the plates by completing Form MV-150, the U.S. Military Veteran Registration Plate Application. The form is available online at www.dmv.state.pa.us. (Click on "Forms and Publications" and then "License Plate Forms" to find Form MV-150.) Veterans should send the completed form along with a certified copy of their DD-214 and a $20 fee to PENNDOT, Bureau of Motor Vehicles, 1101 South Front Street, Harrisburg, PA 17104. Forms and assistance are also available at Senator Erickson’s district office, 5037 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill (610-853-4100).
